3 Days and 4 Nights

Recently, an event was held in Mumbai wherein Director Davang Dhlakia’s venture “3 Days and Four Nights” music was launched by Saregama, one of the largest music archive of the country. The producers of the film are Sunil Pathare, Ryan, Amit Kumar and Devang Dholakia. Music is composed by Daboo Malik. The lyrics is the combined effort of Panchhi Jalonvi and Daboo Malik. The album features Sunidhi Chauahn, Shaan, Neeraj Shreedhar, soham and Akriti Kakar.

The first song of the album is ‘Khawahishen’ sung y Sunidhi Chauhan and Daboo Malik. It quiet soulful song. It is followed by ‘Sheesha’ sung by Neeraj Shreedhar and Sunidhi Chauhan. The third song of the album is ‘Jaane Yeh Kaisi’ sung by Amal Malik. She ensures freshness and zeal. The next song of the album is ‘Har Mausam’ sung by Soham and Akriti Kakkar. It is a romantic number. It is followed by ‘Dost…forever’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan. The sixth song of the album is ‘Macha Shor’ sung by Amal Malik and Shweta. Then the album also consists of ‘Marriane’s sorrow’, ‘Dosti theme’, ‘Retro party’ and ‘3 days and 4 nights’ theme.

The songs of ‘3 Days and 4 Nights’ are peppy, mix of romantic, youthful and fast numbers. It is ensured it will be liked by one and all.

Bebo-cum Dolly-cum - Lara Dutta Interview

Miss Universe Lara Dutta stepped into various genres of movies but off late her trademark movies are mainstream comedy. She started out her career with films like Andaaz, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Bhaagam Bhaag, No Entry, Partner, Billu Barber etc. The dazzling Lara Dutta is back again in yet another comedy flick “Do Knot Disturb” directed by Vashu Bhagnani starring Govinda. We interviewed Lara to know more about her new film “Do Knot Disturb” –

· Tell us more about your film “Do Knot Disturb”. What kind of character do you play?

I’m playing Dolly in the movie who is in love with a married man and to hide the post marital love affair, a lot of situations arises which turn out to be a complete drama with humor. The film has been directed by David Dhawan and Producer is Vashu Bhagnani. Along with Govinda, the other co- stars in the movie are Sushmita Sen and Ritesh Deshmukh.

· So are you the same Govinda’s Dolly who has become so popular with the audience?

Yes, I’m his Dolly and she has become famous just because the way Chi-Chi calls her.

· How was your experience working with another Miss Universe Sushmita Sen in the movie?

It was good but we hardly had a few scenes together but all together it was a dream come true by working with her.

· With two former Miss Universe working together in the same movie, we heard that there were a few clashes between you two?

Is it necessary that if two actresses are working together, they are bound to have a cat fight? The shoot was a really good experience and nothing like that happened.

· How was it working with Govinda again in “Do Knot Disturb?

It was indeed a fantastic experience working with him again after doing movies like Bhaagam Bhaag and Partner. But this I got more opportunity to perform with him. But this doesn’t end here, I’ve worked with Govinda again in Ravi Chopra’s “Banda ye Bindaas hai” which will be released soon.

· Did you face any kind of problem while shooting for “Do Knot Disturb?”

When you have Govinda and David Dhawan together, the comedy automatically comes out. So I tried hard to come up to their level.

· So what is the reason behind you taking up comedy flicks?

Well, it’s mostly because I’m getting more of these types of movies. Also working in a comedy movie is a lot of fun and I really enjoy my work. I believe that it’s more difficult to work for a comedy film than playing a serious character. I really relish working with directors like David Dhawan, Priyadarshan and Sajid Khan.

· How was it working the Sanjay Dutt for the first time in the film “Blue?”

The movie “Blue” is a completely different one where I’ve had a few action scenes too. Sanjay Dutt is a great actor and I liked working with him as well.

We’ve shot the movie underwater, I think the audience will like the film.

Team of “Do Knot disturb” interfaces Delhi media as part of promotional activity

Delhi happens to be the hub of masses and classes and ranks first in the promotional tour of films as it has the capability to attract media massively. And hence the team of “Do Knot Disturb” arrives at the capital city as part of promotional activity. Govinda, Lara Dutta, Ritesh Deshmukh, Director David Dhawan and Producer Vashu Bhagnani held a press-meet with print as well as electronic media in Delhi. During the afternoon time in Le Meridien the entire cast and crew gathered and interacted with media and disclosed aspects of the film.

Director David Dhawan went ahead to say, “I made this film to make people laugh and rejoice. All have done great job be it Govinda, Ritesh or female leads Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta.” When asked to Actor Ritesh that he was convinced to do the film only for namesake of David and Vashu Bhagnani, He replied, “I have worked with Vashu Bhagnani in past but that was not the reason for me to day yes for the film. David Dhawan gave me the script to read and go through. I loved my character; it gives dimension to my comedy skills.” Hearing to this Govinda turned towards David and asked him, “David you made Ritesh to read the script and you never gave me any script. Why so? David replied, “Govinda do you need the script. I don’t think so.” Everyone busted out in laughter.

Govinda said, “I playing a rich business man in the film. He has a beautiful and sophisticated wife as well as a beautiful girlfriend. And he gets stuck between both of them.” During the press-conference, Lara Dutta was asked that David has titled her as ‘58’ what is this all about? Lara smiled and said that, “My height is 5 feet 8 inches and my weight is 58. Therefore, he named me 58.” Then she was asked thatis her name Dolly in the film which is repeatedly heard from Govinda in the film? She said, “Yes, I am only Govinda’s Dolly in the film.”

Producer Vashu Bhagnani said, “We three David, me and Govinda have worked several times together and hence the bonding and tuning is so strong that we know what is running in each other’s mind.” One of the reporter in the conference asked Director David Dhawan was asked that Bebo is Kareena’s name then why did you use this name in the song? He said, “In Punjab Bebo is a household name. So there is no crime in using Bebo in the song.”

Ritesh handled the media - Do Knot Disturb

Recently entire team of “Do Knot Disturb” including Govinda, Lara Dutta, Ritesh Deshmukh, Director David Dhawan and Producer Vashu Bhagnani visited capital city for the promotional activity. Before the press-conference could commence, David Dhawan got astonished looking at the amount of media gathered. He even went ahead to heartedly thanked everyone to be present at the press-meet.

Once the press-conference got over, it was the time for one-to-one interview of the cast and crew of the film. It is but obvious that looking at such big stars right front of you, media went crazy and bounced on them appearing as there is no tomorrow. A bit of chaos was seen. At that moment Ritesh Dehmukh who plays a vital role in the film came for the rescue.

He addressed to the media and said, “We all here. Whether it is big publication or a small one, we will give interviews and bits to everyone. I will be obliged if we go ahead with the interviews systematically.” And then everything sailed smoothly.

Astounding “Poets of the Fall” in India

Recently, Saregama Music Company launched the music album “Best of Poets of the fall”. The band comprises of singer Marko, guitarist Olli and keyboardist Captain. They started out their musical adventure from scratch in 2003. Marko sold everything he had to invest in pursuing the love of his life, music, with his buddies Olli and Captain. He moved into his folks' basement, when he couldn't keep a place of his own any longer. The guys then built a little studio of their own in Captain's living room for the recording and producing sessions, and kept an office in Olli's beat up old car. The result of the recording sessions was a novel blend of pop, rock, metal and industrial sounds.

The band's first single was Late Goodbye, written for the acclaimed computer game Max Payne 2. Reaching millions of people through the game, the song went number one in Finland, and earned the guys international recognition and the first prize at the G.A.N.G. Awards in 2004.

Their debut album Signs of Life went straight to number. One on the Finnish album chart in January 2005, and stayed on the chart for over a year. The next album Carnival of Rust, released in April 2006, also hit the number one spot on its first week, with the debut album still on the official Top40 chart. To date, both albums have sold platinum in Finland. The eight singles (including two radio promos) released from the albums have dominated Finnish radios, with the song Carnival of Rust being the most played Finnish song in 2006. The third album Revolution Roulette was released in March 2008 & took the first place on the album chart breaking the gold record limit in just a couple of weeks after its release.

Om Puri, Urvashi Sharma and Sushant Singh geared for the promotion of their film “Baabarr

Film “Baabarr” is all set to hit the box office and hence the team of “Baabarr” including Director Ashuu Trikha, Producer SaonjivKumar Pahwa, film star-cast including Urvashi Sharma, Sushant Singh, Om Puri. For the series of promotion and publicity the entire team visited the cities like Kanpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. The package of promotion included Premiere and interaction with media. Premiere witnessed media cult of the respective city and many well-known celebrities and faces. “Baabarr” received warm appreciation and positive response from the people present at the premiere.

Post-premiere, media-interface took place. Veteran actor Om Puri said, “I play the character of police-officer in film. I play a vital and dominating role in the film. And this is best film ever made by Ashuu Trikha.” Director Ashuu Trikha went ahead to say, “Baabarr is crime-thriller pact film. Film was shot in actual and real location of Kanpur. The story revolves around protagonist Baabarr, who enters the crime world by attempting his first murder at the age of 12.”

Female lead Urvashi Sharma said, “I play the character of Jiya. She is daughter of Baabarr’s uncle and they are in love with each other. I loved my role when Mr. Ashuu approached with the narration and spontaneously I agreed.” Actor Sushant Singh went ahead to say, “I play Tarbez in the film, who is in the rift with Baabarr. It is action-pact film. Audience will love it, as Director Ashuu has kept the flow of the movie so precise and exact.”

Vaada Raha… I promise is about trust, hopes, betrayal and will-power

Next Gen Films and Top Angle Productions are coming up with film “Vaada Raha…I promise” which is been directed by Samir Karnik. Before Vaada Raha, Samir’s directorial ventures include “Nanhe Jaisalmer” and “Heros”. The film’s star-cast includes Bobby Deol, Kangana Ranuat, Dwij Yadav and Atul Kulkarni. The music is composed combined effort of Toshi-Sharib, Babbu Maan, Monty, Rahul.B.Seth, Sandy and Sanjoy Chowdhury.

The story of the film goes like:

Duke (Booby Deol) is a doctor and researching on Cancer. He is happy-go-lucky person and indeed famous amongst his juniors and patients. He is in love with Nalini (Kangan Ranaut) and they are immensely in love with each other. His research in Cancer gets acknowledgment by American Medical Association. Each time his colleagues ask him on how he makes difficult surgeries seem easy, his answer is always the same-he hangs on to HOPE and in turn gives his patients what most seem to have lost-HOPE.

A sudden turn of fate ends Duke's perfect world. After an accident he is paralyzed neck down. A bed becomes his boat and the hospital room his world. Nalini leaves him, friends stay away and those who want to be by his side are yelled at by Duke himself. He becomes bitter and angry at himself. Duke hates his conditions so much that he wishes he had died instead of living in a condition which is worse. A man, who was an angle to many, looses all hope himself.

Roshan (Dwij Yadav), a young boy enters his life. Known to all at the hospital Roshan is naughty and stubborn. He does what he likes. Duke hates Roshan in the first few meetings but then slowly Roshan wins over his heart. They both strike a common chord. What Duke really enjoys is the description of the view from his window that Roshan tells him. Roshan regales him with incidents of people he sees from the window, all the incidents are about people who win against odds because they remain hopeful. The whole experience of hearing the courageous tales everyday brings in light to Duke's dim aspirations. He gets motivated and inspired. Roshan and Duke become good friends. Roshan express his wish to save his sister Roshni of dying from cancer. Duke takes it upon himself to finish his research to treat Roshni. He restarts work on his research. In every low phase Roshan appears to boost his morale and motivate him.

One fine day the doctor tries to make him walk with the help of crutches. Duke makes an effort to walk to the window. He draws the curtains to look outside at the world which gave him hope and re-established his belief in life. Shockingly, there's no world outside, there is just a tall boundary wall outside the window. The doctor reconfirms that the wall has been there for years. Duke enquires about Roshan's sister. The doctor tells him that it is Roshan who suffers from cancer, not his sister.

And this how life of Duke changes forever.

“I left sweets to make my film hit” - Smilie Suri

Smilie marked her steps in Bollywood with film “Kalyug” opposite Kunal Khemu. She left sweets as she took a swear she won’t eat sweet until the movie goes hit in box-office report.

Recently, she went across the cities of Delhi, Chandigarh and Jaipur for the promotion of her up-coming film, “Yeh Mera India (Y.M.I)” When her flight took off from Chandigarh, she told us that incidentally she left sweets even this time before the release of the film. She left sweet to the extent that she is having tea and coffee without sugar. She strongly believes that if she quits sweets her film will really do well at the box-office. She loves chocolates but she is strong with her temptation and will-power.

Let’s see her tactic of quitting sweet works for her this time again or not. She is keeping her finger cross for Y.M.I

Irony of film Toss

Knox Entertainment’s first film “Toss”, you must have heard about it, if not then just to give you a glimpse, “Toss” is all set to get released on 28^th August’09 and entire team is geared up for the publicity and promotions.

Toss is a murder mystery and stars M.T.V Roadies fame Rannvijay and this is the only U.S.P of the film. Though it is his first film but he does not have time to promote it. He is really, busy with the shooting of his other film in Delhi. On other hand, film also stars Aarti Chhabria. One already knows she is one of the busiest female actor in the B-town. No grudges Aarti, but she has two releases lined up together, “Toss” and “Daddy Cool” yippee!!! If you go to see, “Daddy Cool” of Sunil Shetty is a bigger film compared to Toss so maybe she is waiting for green signal from Sunil Shetty to go ahead to promote “Toss”.

The other female actor of the film is Madhureema, she is going to be the one who is going to gather a bit of fame, name and some handful of projects post-Toss, but…she is busy with her South projects. She has already given two smash hits in South, so but obvious she’ll focus more on south projects. The third female actor of the film is Shruti Gera. She has worked very hard for the film But somehow we can’t find her in promotions or publicity tours…hello, is Shruti Gera there???

The other two male lead of the film are Ashmit Patel and Prashant Raj. Forgot, Ashmit brother of Amisha Patel-hero of Murder and Prashant Raj, who played role of Amitabh in RamGopal Verma’s “Sholay”. Well both sincerely were present in the promotions. But, well…
